The Camel Strategy for 2024

The Camel Strategy – A new definition was given by Ms. Ngo Phi Phung, founder of Metta Marketing

2024 is a year that is predicted to have a lot of instability and unpredictable changes around the world, from nature to human society. Vietnam, with an economy whose GDP growth rate depends on export growth and has a very high economic openness, is of course not outside the spiral of global economic and political events. Most economists and business leaders are very worried about the ambiguity in predicting development possibilities from 2024 – 2026.

So with micromanagement of a business, what should we do?

The Camel Strategy
A new definition was given by Ms. Ngo Phi Phung, founder of Metta Marketing

In the process of consulting and working with many business leaders, Metta concluded and proposed The Camel Strategy for 2024 to guide your business.

The Camel Strategy has three important implications.

1. Resilience in harsh weather: Camels can endure dehydration of up to 35% of their body weight, while humans can die when dehydrated by 12%. More than ever, businesses need long-term, durable strategies to overcome the difficulties of Vietnam and the world.

2. The goal is the long haul: Don’t cross the desert if you don’t have a picture of your destination, because wandering around in the desert is clearly not a good idea. Businesses need to have a good strategy because it will give you the shortest and least expensive path to your objectives.

3. To be on the ball: Camels seem very slow, but they can reach a speed of 65km/h when running. In the past, camels were used as mounts for warriors! Camels remind us to stay focused and be ready to change speed when needed. Flexibility is our strength.

It’s so surprising that camels originate from freezing Canada! The camel has overcome all the harshness of the environment, changing and adapting inside and out to survive for millions of years, and is still one of the most miraculous living creatures we have ever seen.

Note that The Camel Strategy should be communicated to all employees because it is important in a period like this. You can work with your team to create a Camel Strategy with a specific action plan for your business or work with Metta if needed.

Wish you all the best with the Camel Strategy in 2024!

What will happen after a soft landing in the U.S. economy?

Plot summary When a recession was predicted to occur a year ago, the Fed seems to have succeeded in bringing down inflation without causing a recession. Many negative forecasts underestimate the resilience of the U.S. economy, typically because they are based on historical models and precedents, rather than on isolated contexts. While a soft landing […]

Cost cutting makes you stronger

Summary When everything is beyond our control, costs are the only thing that can be managed. However, drastically cutting costs immediately to save in the short term is a mistake. When companies implement sudden cost-cutting policies, they often have to give up the most crucial investments. If cost-cutting programs are hastily implemented, debates about investment […]
